The gavel that travels is off again

 The meeting of St James Lodge No 8910 proved to be quite eventful. Firstly, members and guests

 witnessed the Worshipful Master, John Webber, and David Oakley, preside over a superb

 Ceremony of Passing. What was unusual about it was that the Candidate, Mike Kenny,

 is a member of Westhoughton Lodge No 4215. With St James Lodge having historical

 connections to Westhoughton Lodge, they had offered to help Westhoughton out of a ‘Ceremony Jam’.

 Nineteen members of Westhoughton Lodge supported Mike Kenny, but unbeknown to their hosts,

 skulduggery was in their minds as they claimed the ‘Gavel that Travels’ with what must surely be the

 largest number of claimants in the ‘Gavels’ history. How long will they hold on to it though?

 Westhoughton Lodge meets on the forth Thursday of the month. 

 Once again the gavel gets people visiting. An excellent dinner and good company made it a super evening.
