The Gavel that Travels

 The gavel is once again with St James Lodge, having been claimed from Westhoughton Lodge on Thursday 24th

 March. This is the fifth occasion on which St James Lodge has claimed the gavel and members also made two

 further attempts but were beaten off by a larger attendance from another lodge

 The first opportunity to claim the gavel will be at St James' meeting on Tuesday 5th April, when the lodge has

 invited ladies and gentlemen to dine at the festive board. If not claimed then, the lodge also meets on

 Tuesday 3rd May.
