Chorley Fellowship birthday lunch
The Chorley and District Group Masonic Fellowship celebrated its 22nd birthday with a lunch and entertainment at Chorley Masonic Hall.
Chairman, Ken Cairns, welcomed the President, Ray Martland and Carol and the Vice President, John Robson and Kath, together with a number
of members, partners and widows.
After an excellent lunch of beef or salmon, entertainment was provided by Jean Forrester, Secretary of the Association of Masonic Fellowships, who sang a
number of old favourite songs and drew loud applause from those present, particularly the men.
The event was organised by the Fellowship Secretary, Andrea Arrowsmith.
Membership of the Masonic Fellowship is open to brethren retired from full time employment and their wives, widows of deceased brethren and wives of
working brethren who have themselves reached retirement age.
Meetings are held at Chorley Masonic Hall on the 2nd Wednesday of each month except July, mostly at 2.00 p.m., and there is always an interesting speaker.
Twice a year the Fellowship holds a lunch instead of the regular meeting. The birthday lunch takes place on the 2nd Wednesday of May and the
Christmas lunch on the equivalent Wednesday in December.
Any brother or qualified lady wishing to join should contact the Chairman, Ken Cairns, on 01257 791817 or the Secretary, Andrea Arrowsmith, on 01204 693463.
