Geoff’s double, with a twist!
Geoff Mort was royally installed into the Chair of King Solomon of Coronation Lodge No 7258 in fine style by outgoing Master Mike Harrison.
This is Geoff’s second stint as WM as back in December he vacated the Chair of King Solomon at St James Lodge No 8910.
Representing the Provincial Grand Master was Tony Bent whose address to the brethren was impeccable, Tony was supported by Paul Snape,
Vice Chairman of the Chorley and District Group.
Tony made special mention of Malcolm Dewhurst for his superb address to the Master and of Richard Frazer-Bastable, Steve Gregory and
Bernard Davenport for the most professional and measured way they delivered the working tools of each degree.
The twist in this tale is that of the five stewards who were appointed, four are Grand Lodge officers, namely Jim Morris, Alan Byers, Malcolm Dewhurst
and Ken Shaw, whilst the fifth, Malcolm Greeley is of Provincial rank!
Geoff said he was happy that all the brethren enjoyed a wonderful evening and a superb festive board.
