Peace Lodge No 2269 charity drive

The Peace Lodge Ladies Evening, held at Westhoughton Masonic Hall, was a resounding success and raised £305.00 on the night for Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

A further £273 was raised at the recent Old English Night, which was pledged 50/50 to Wigan and Leigh Hospice and Derian House.

Gary Fisher said "It is a pleasure to help such a worthy cause", and Gary Smith added "We hope that this donation will help all of the hard working staff

and volunteers at Wigan and Leigh Hospice to continue to provide such an excellent level of care."

The lodge representatives met with Edwin Matthews, Communications and PR officer, and Daniel Hall, newly appointed Fundraising Manager

at Wigan and Leigh Hospice, along with a representative of the local press. No doubt a short article will be appearing in one of the local newspapers,

welcome publicity for both Chorley Group freemasons and Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
