Scots give St George the third degree

Brethren of Lodge Thistle and Crown No 1167, Lodge Union and Crown No 307 plus Lodge Georgetown No 1170 all from the East Renfrewshire

visited St Georges Lodge No 7161 in Chorley to demonstrate the Scottish Third Degree.

The demonstration was excellent and had obviously been honed to perfection. For every Freemason this is a must see demonstration,

if you can get to a demonstration or better still the real thing it is highly recommended. The ritual is broadly the same but entirely different with graphic

illustrations as part of the ceremony. You will be pleased to know that “volunteer” candidate, Iain Wilson from St Georges, survived almost intact.

Keith Bridges Worshipful Master of St Georges thanked all those who had travelled from Scotland and all those who had visited for what was an exceptional evening.

Keith also thanked Joe Brennan Worshipful Master of Lodge Thistle and Crown for the presentation Quaich and said it would be put to good use.
