St George comes to Wilderswood again

In what has become an eagerly anticipated event in the Wilderwood Lodge Calendar, more than sixty members, Masonic and none Masonic guests

enjoyed the St Georges Day Festive Board which was held following the meeting of Wilderswood Lodge.

Peter Schofield (worshipful master) led the evenings proceedings, dressed up as St George, as he does every year. He is now complete with chain

armour and full face helmet, which is something he is becoming quite famous for (some say infamous), and a most enjoyable and entertaining evening was had by all.

During the evening an impressive £505 was raised in raffles, fines and immunity badges. These proceeds will be split between the West Lancashire

Freemasons Charity and the Children’s charity Rainbow House.

It’s worth watching out for this next year as no doubt Wilderswood will be running this very successful event again in 2012.
