Westhoughton Jazz Lunch

Another huge success for Brookfield Ladies committee.

Anne Wilson the chairman of the committee said that the Brookfield Ladies organise four events a year to raise money to support the

Westhoughton Masonic Hall. Usually it’s a New Years Eve ball, Christmas Party for the Children, a craft fayre and another event which this year is the Jazz Lunch.

78 people sat down to an excellent lunch to the strains of the Mark Lewis Trio which turned out to be a foursome which turned into five before the lunch ended.

The dining room was set out like a first class restaurant with food to match. The last diners left at around 4.00, some lunch!!

Anne said that the event had raised £410 pounds which would go towards a specific project in the Masonic Hall. Previous projects have been curtains,

carpets, freezer, disabled toilet (£2000).

Anne thanked all those who came for their support and said the next event is a craft fayre on the 23 October, get it in your diary.
