AN EVENING OF MASONIC MUSIC
THE MASTER’S SONG
What is it?
A talk given in open Lodge
by
Derek Hughson ALCM, PAGDC.
PPrGOrg (W. Lancs)
followed by songs at the Festive Board
Bernard Davenport said that in the lodge room the talk, lasting about 45 minutes, is on the subject of
The Master’s Song in its various forms, with biographical and historical references and musical criticism.
The talk is illustrated with music recorded specially for the purpose and those present will find themselves much wiser,
and probably surprised, about something which is usually taken for granted.
At the Festive Board, four songs are presented, all Masonic in content and again recorded specially for the purpose.
This takes about 15 minutes and the Brethren will be invited (challenged) to join in the choruses and have a little fun.
Each Brother present will receive a souvenir booklet containing the words of the various songs and some biographical material.
It is requested that the printing expenses be met and any surplus can be donated to charity.
A poster for the event is attached … ( read more )
