Chorley Lodge, Old English success

The brethren of Chorley Lodge No 6287 gathered for their annual old English dinner. As usual this event increased the number of visitors. This year 21 visitor,

including non mason attended a super evening.

As is traditional the Judge (Simon Pilkington) was let loose to extract donations by way of fines.

The only protection from the Judge is the purchase of an immunity badge. Simon said that the sales of West Lancashire Freemasons Charity badges as immunity badges

had proved very successful and raised £330 for that charity. With a further £213 extracted by other means for the Chorley Masonic Hall.

Iain Simpson the worshipful master said that this sort of event is a good introduction into Freemasonry for non masons. Good company and good food is also a great help.

Iain thanked Simon for the way he made the diners poorer but happier.
