Who dares ... goes to Townley Parker

The lodge meeting of Townley Parker No 1032 was normal enough; the ceremony lead by Allan Farrington was smooth and fluent. The paper presented by

Eddie Webster on Boaz was well prepared and well delivered. It contained many days of Masonic advancement and all this complete by 7.15.

The festive board, however, was something completely different. It was a Ladies to dine evening, the idea was that your wife writes down all your little flaws

and foibles and then three “uniformed” police officers read them out together with the laws of human nature that they violate.

All the laughing and smiling faces around certainly proved it was a hugely successful evening.

Allan thanked the “Judge” Fran Taylor and “Officers” John Turner, Pauline and Brian Hoarty for making this such good fun.
