Tuesday 25th October was a momentous day in the life of a member of the Group and to witness that day nearly 100 Brethren from East and West Lancashire in the Order

At 2 pm The Grand Master, M. W.Bro Michael Edward Herbert opened the Grand Council for the last time as the Grand Master carrying out the agenda, then appointing and

His last act was to elect, obligate, invest, install and proclaim R.W.Bro Thomas Firth Jackson, the Past District Grand Prefect for West Lancashire as the Grand Master in
a most dignified manner watched by over 600 Allied Masons.
Several of these brethren had travelled from countries as far away as New Zealand, India, South East Asia, U.S.A. and the Caribbean.
One of the first duties of the new Grand Master was to invest recipients of past ranks and promotions for 2011-12.
