A warm welcome in Prospect Lodge
The Installation at Prospect Lodge No 7880 was honoured by the attendance of Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Ray Martland accompanied by a
“numerous retinue” of Provincial officers, namely the group vice chairman, Paul Snape, the group secretary and three acting officers; a Standard Bearer
and two Stewards, as well as Provincial Deputy Director of Ceremonies, Paul Hesketh.
After the visitors had been accommodated in the lodge, Terry Cunningham, senior warden and master elect, was installed by past masters of the lodge,
after which the working tools were presented in the third degree by past master Dean Swain, in the second degree by fellowcraft Nick Everett and in the
first degree by entered apprentice Adrian Craig.
During the festivities following the installation, Ray Martland expressed his appreciation for the warmth of welcome shown to him and his colleagues from
Provincial Grand Lodge and described the friendliness with which they had been greeted by all members of the lodge. He paid particular tribute to the perfect
delivery of the working tools by Nick Everett and Adrian Craig.
The worshipful master, Terry Cunningham, has a busy year ahead of him starting with a third degree ceremony and other ceremonies to follow throughout the year.
At the end of the evening, Tony Barrow, the lodge DC, thanked all who had taken part in the ceremony, he said.: “You all deserve a pat on the back. It was a great
night … enjoyed by everyone.” You can’t get much better than that from a DC!
